Categories of Membership

Ordinary Member (OM)

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Any companies based in Malaysia engaged in the business of Shipbuilding and/or Ship Repair, as registered with the Registrar of Companies (ROC).
  • Any companies based in Malaysia engaged in the business of related Marine industries, as registered with the Registrar of Companies (ROC).
  • Only eligible for Malaysian Company.

Associate Member (AM)

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Any companies who subscribe to the objects of the Association.
  • Foreign/Malaysian Company.

Documents required for submission with membership application form:

  • Certificate of Registration of company-issued by ROC.
  • Certificate of Contract issued by the Ministry of Finance (if any)
  • Certificate by Ministry of Trade & Industry (if any)
  • Manufacturing License (if any)
  • Copy of latest Annual Report
  • Basic Organisation Chart
  • Quality of Performance Awards (if any)
  • Additional documents for companies in Shipbuilding or Ship Repair:
  • List of shipyard facilities, capabilities and capacities
  • List of new buildings completed over the last 5 years
  • List of refurbishment completed over the last 5 years
  • Shipyard layout plan
  • Additional documents for companies in Marine-Related Industries:
  • List of products manufactured and/or imported
  • List of after-sales customer services
  • List of services, facilities, etc.
