The Association of Marine Industries of Malaysia (AMIM) recently attended LIMA’23, the 17th Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition and Conference, in Langkawi, Malaysia. The event was held from May 23-28, 2023, and attracted over 525 exhibitors from 60 countries.

AMIM was a supporting organization for LIMA’23 (MOT Sponsored booth), and had the opportunity to promote products and services to a wide audience of potential customers. AMIM also participated in the conference program, on a variety of topics related to the marine industry.

In addition to attending the exhibition and conference, I also met with a number of important stakeholders, including the Panglima Angkatan Tentera, Chief Engineer of Royal Malaysia Navy, Minister of Transport, Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Petronas Group Procurement Team and AMIM members. These meetings were an opportunity to discuss the latest trends in the marine industry especially SBSR industry and to explore ways to collaborate in the future.

The event provided an opportunity to showcase the capabilities of the Malaysian marine industry to a global audience, and it helped to strengthen AMIM’s relationships with key stakeholders.

AMIM is grateful for the opportunity to have attended LIMA’23 and to have met with so many important stakeholders. We are confident that the relationships we have developed will be beneficial to AMIM in the years to come.

In addition to the above, I would like to highlight the following:

  • AMIM’s booth at LIMA’23 was very well-received by visitors. We had a lot of interest in our products and services, and we were able to generate a number of leads.
  • The conference program was very informative and insightful. I learned a lot about the latest trends in the marine industry, and I was able to network with a number of experts in the field.
  • I was very impressed with the level of support that we received from the Malaysian government and they expressed their support for the Malaysian SBSR industry.

I am confident that AMIM’s participation in LIMA’23 will help to boost the Malaysian SBSR industry. The event has given us a platform to showcase our capabilities to a global audience, and it has helped us to strengthen our relationships with key stakeholders. I am excited to see what the future holds for the Malaysian SBSR industry, and I am confident that AMIM will play a leading role in its growth.

I would like to thank AMIM members who attended, visited AMIM booth and other members who supplied goodies & marketing collateral to be stationed at AMIM booth. In the meantime, I would also thank YBhg Dato’ Alexander Isaac, from Tropical Charters Sdn Bhd for sponsoring our accommodation and on-the-ground assistance to me.
